I have been coming and going from Amsterdam working with a client for the last nine months, and tomorrow is my last day here, so I am taking in all the elements of this little village as if I might never be back. So last night as I was walking through the Joordan at 8pm (the summer sun was still shining as if it was 5pm back in California), I was admiring the way the evening sunlight illuminated even the most boring of details...the corner of a poorly painted green building, the oily texture of the glassy canals in the evening light & the slanted facades of the Dutch architecture...
