Not sure why I have been so lazy on posts...oh yeah, I'm super busy. Duh. Anyway, chased the rain up to SF on Tuesday to see Serena & Mason's General Store and to catch up with Kyle. We always pick up where we left off. No time lost - just a lifetime of things to talk about. The General Store is unreal!!! Actually, excuse the claim, but absolutely everything in their store spoke directly to me. I could spend a lot of time in that shop and plan to be back soon. Speaking of living in shops, Kyle gave me a tour of his old "house" and current daily hangout...the original Mollusk. Well worth the pilgrimage to mecca - much bigger than our beloved Venice outpost. John, the proprietor, is a damn nice chap and there is plenty of nice things to see everywhere you look. I bought a couple of drawings by David Wilson. The Frames were really nice. Oh yeah, Outerlands is great food and Trouble Coffee was really no trouble at all. Kyle and I shared a romantic little room at the Ocean Park Motel and when it was time to leave 15 hours after I got there, Kyle just asked me to drop him off at the Beach and he walked away into the Dunes...Until next time! I will post more pics when I get around to it.

Peruvian Sunset

So as this sun is setting into the Peruvian coast, I will say goodnight and listen to the rain as it slowly takes me into the beautiful oblivion of my dreams...

Honestly Folks...

...stop being so high maintenance! It's been a long day... quote originally spoken by Vauvenargues, Marquis de quotes (French moralist and essayist, 1715-1747)

Come Sail Away, Come Sail Away, Come Sail Away with Me...
The best part of flying Jet Blue round trip LAX to JFK is more than 10 hours of VH1 Classics. All of these epic videos (and Terra Blue Chips) renders me paralyzed and anxiously anticipating the next video...Genesis? Van Halen? Heart? Queen? Bon Jovi? John Courgar, Sister Christian by Night Ranger??? Are you kidding me!!! My productivity enters an all time low. My ambitious plans to complete the work I have been putting off or read that magazine that has been weighing my bag down completely collapse and a sit there glaring into my little rock 'n roll portal. More than not, I am probably singing as well, and bothering my neighbors (who are pretty damn close on Jet Blue). The closest thing I can get to this experience here in LA is listening to The Sound 100.3FM on my way into work and singing at the top of my lungs (no neighbors in the car, and yeah, I'm not afraid to claim it). Anyway, it's been a couple weeks since my last flight, but I can't get these videos out of my mind, so I thought I would share them with you. The Styx, The Stones and Mötley Crüe...
One of my favorites is Mick Jagger prancing around in his lavender leotard in the Stones "Start me Up"video, but apparently Mick doesn't like looking back on this one as he's had all the embedding script on You Tube disabled "by request". But if you click here, you can watch it yourself. I'm curious if the white yoga pants are still in rotation today?

Jonas Mekas
A byproduct of my visit to rvca was running into my old friend Casey Holland and walking away with the always inspiring ANP Quarterly. It's a tough find in Venice, but I got me a copy and was really inspired by the piece on Jonas Mekas...
