The good kind of Needles...

Hard not to imagine the collection that you could design around this label...both then and now.

Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas...

We managed to get out of Satan City with no further alignments with the devil himself...we even had a few extra dollars in our pockets! (Picture by Masa)

Demolitian Days...Livin' in a construction zone.

And this is what it used to look like (curbed), when we listed the house about a year and a half ago - it was only on the market for a month 'cause the house we were trying to buy fell through.

Ty Williams stopped by the studio today...he's a talented fish and paints them too...

A nice detour from the days drudge, or sludge or the demolition days at home...thanks for the introduction Jess! Go check out Ty's paradise here, but don't hire him 'cause I want to!

Fuzzy's Wall.

I'm not sure what the real story is here as I haven't had a clear thought in three weeks??? Truth be told, I'm feeling Fuzzy. So this is Fuzzy's wall...literally.

The Legendary Jimmy 'Z

Stolen from FIRST POINT! Just another wave...

[Ed Ruscha] completes the 16mm color film Miracle (also the title of a 1973 drawing and various later works) featuring Jim Ganzer and Michelle Phillips in a tongue-in-cheek tale of a mechanic who goes through a series of religious epiphanies while repairing a '65 Ford Mustang. (via chronology)

A little Closer...

Costa turned two on Friday and we took over Disneyland's slowest rides! Spent some time with Mason, Serena [& Chris] in their new Topanga Canyon commune last night, and had a fun, but very small, surf at Malibu on logs. And Hannah's favorite...we cleaned out the house for the pending demo crews arriving at 8am tomorrow, while I'm on a plane to a god-awful place...I'll never see my kitchen the same way again...more later.

Another man's shoes...

I want these. Found them on a blog somewhere, but I would love to find them in my closet...

Calling all Design Talent....

I haven't had any time to post on Bonfirebeachkids 'cause I've had my head down grinding on projects. I have a couple of good opportunities in the Studio. Most importantly, I'm looking to hire another in-house menswear designer. This is a design support role with a heavy slant on product and fabric development, so technical skill is a must. This is for an incredible project with a lot of room for growth. Job is located in Culver City and you'll get to work with a lot of cool people...send resume's to juanmas@thePOPstudio.com. Also, there are two technical design opportunities as well...thanks. Back to regularly scheduled blog posts soon. Please check back...
